The Nolan N103 incorporates the following features.
- VPS (Vision Protection System) short dark shield mounted on the inside of the shell and moving independently from the clear shield. As thick as a regular faceshield, it provides real eye protection when used independently from the clear shield. Also available in Amber, light smoke, and light blue. Easily operated by a slider on the left side of the helmet.
- Ready for N-COM communication system.
- Aerodynamic polycarbonate shell with built-in spoiler for improved stability.
- Pivoting chinbar with stainless-steel on stainless-steel latching mechanism and patented articulated hinges. A secondary safety system includes a set of interlocking fingers on each side of the chinbar.
- Dual-action Centromatic release system (pull the tab on the underside of the chinbar, then squeeze together with the front tab) for increased safety.
- Fully removable and washable Clima-Comfort interior on snaps, with superior wicking and wind-noise reduction qualities.
- Removable cheekpads available in 5 sizes for a custom fit, with noise reducing foam filler.
- Super efficient JSW top vent with exhaust grid in the rear spoiler and chinbar vents, operated by glove-friendly rubber sliders.
- Optically correct, push-button quick-change Lexan faceshield, offers UV 400 protection.
- Multi-position anti-scratch shield accepts NFR antifog insert (included): the insert mounts on the inside of the clear shield to keep the rider fog-free.
- Microlock (adjustable quick release) retention system.
- Sanitized is a fiber, not a treatment, which is woven in all Nolan liners, with anti-microbial and hypoallergenic interior to keep the helmets fresher longer.
- Velour chin-strap padding.
- D.O.T. approved (in Europe, ECE 22-05 approved).
- Size range: XS to XXL.

LABORATORY
Within the company we have a laboratory which is considered qualified by the Italian Ministry of Transport and ensures that regulatory compliance testing is carried out. The products are later sent to third party laboratories for approval. Once approval has been given, line production begins in conjunction with constant and thorough checks on every single component.
The final product is also tested through destructive tests on random samples to ascertain compliance with international standards. Nolan has always submitted its products to additional tests, not required by current regulations: the helmet is most extreme operating conditions are submitted to laboratory-simulation, thus ensuring the highest standards of quality.
The company uses a quality management system (ISO 9001:2000) allowing us to improve continually the various processes from design and development through to production and sales.
All Nolan products are guaranteed for 5 years, from the date of purchase, against any defect arising from materials or the manufacturing process.

| Vision Protection System |

The Nolan Group is introducing for the models N103, N102, N84, N42E, N32 and X-1002 the Vision Protection System (VPS), which can also be installed as an accessory to previous versions.
The VPS can be assembled to the outside visor in less than one minute and independently raised when not in use. During our testing, the sunscreen has remained very stable in both high and low positions, even at speeds in excess of 200 km/h. The VPS has proved to maintain its original set position when subjected to a variety of riding styles, including head rotation at high speed.
The shading and related anti-dazzle effect of the VPS provides an ideal riding environment by back or sunset light. The VPS should be periodically removed as required for cleaning operations.
